Quick 2-5's
Here's the PDF to one of my early instagram piano videos. It features triplets grouped in 4 as well as quick 2-5’s in the chord progression that eventually resolve to the tonic.
In this example the tonic is Bb major. The C-7 to the F7 is the actual two and five chord of the key of Bb, but since the D-7 to G7 are also 2-5’s they are generally termed 2-5’s even if they are the 2 and 5 of Cmaj. In Bb Dm7 and G7 are the 3 and 6 chord, semantics.
