This week’s video was captured with my Meta glasses as I walked through how I practice using Bach’s Prelude No. 5 in D major as a playground for better habits.

We often reflexively jump back to the beginning when we make a mistake—but that reinforces the wrong parts of our muscle memory. In this lesson, I show how to:

  • Isolate the problem area (not the whole piece)

  • Practice the before and after context

  • Rebuild fluency by expanding outward, one measure at a time

  • Only return to the top after stitching things back together

This isn't just a classical music tip—it’s a core principle for jazz players, improvisers, and anyone trying to play with intention.
